What makes Sarah Discoveries different?
We are a luxury Destination Management Company based in Morocco, offering tailor-made journeys with exceptional service, local expertise, and authentic experiences you won't find anywhere else.
What types of trips do you offer?
Sixteen set-departure journeys ranging from seven to fourteen nights — interior cities, Atlas walking, desert routes, coastal escapes, cooking, family travel, and women-only departures. Every trip is also available as a bespoke private journey designed around your dates and group.
Can you create a custom itinerary for me?
Yes. Most of our set departures started as a bespoke request from one traveller. Tell us your dates, group size, pace, and what you want from Morocco — we will reply within twenty-four hours with a draft itinerary, signed by name.
How far in advance should I book?
Four to six months for school-holiday windows and the high season (October, November, March, April). Six to nine months for the Fès Festival Week and the Long South. Two to three months is workable for shoulder months and bespoke private trips.
Is Morocco safe for travelers?
Yes. Morocco is one of the safest countries in the region for visitors. Our guests travel with a named lead guide for the duration of the trip and a 24-hour support number answered by a person who knows the itinerary. Family travellers, solo women travellers, and older guests all travel with us comfortably.

Booking
How do I make a reservation?
Send us your dates, group size, and which journey interests you. We will reply within twenty-four hours with availability, a confirmed price, and a draft itinerary. You confirm the booking with a 25% deposit.
What is the booking process?
Four steps: enquiry, draft itinerary signed by name, deposit and confirmation, final balance due eight weeks before departure. We walk you through every step.
Can I hold a booking before making payment?
Yes. We can hold rooms for seven days while you confirm flights and decisions. Longer holds need a small refundable deposit during peak windows.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer (preferred for international clients), Visa, Mastercard, American Express. All payments are processed through a secure UK-based payment provider.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. 25% of the trip cost confirms your booking. The balance is due eight weeks before departure. For bookings made within eight weeks, the full amount is due at confirmation.
Travel & Safety
Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?
Most travellers from the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand do not need a visa for stays of up to ninety days. Your passport must have at least six months' validity from the date of return. Other passports may need to apply in advance.
What vaccinations are required?
No specific vaccinations are required to enter Morocco. The UK NHS and US CDC recommend routine vaccinations are up to date, plus hepatitis A and typhoid for some travellers. Speak with your GP or a travel clinic four to six weeks before departure.
What should I pack for my trip?
We send a tailored packing list two weeks before departure based on your route and season. Generally: layers for cool evenings, comfortable walking shoes, modest clothing for religious sites, a wide-brimmed hat, and high-factor sunscreen.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical, repatriation, and trip cancellation is required for all our travellers. We can recommend providers in the UK, EU, and US if you do not have an existing policy.
What is the best time to visit Morocco?
March to May and September to November are the best months for most of our journeys — cool mornings, warm afternoons, low rainfall. December to February is ideal for the desert (cold nights but bright days). July and August are hot in the imperial cities; we suggest coastal or Atlas walking trips in those months.
Itinerary & Experience
Can I customize my itinerary?
Yes. Every set departure can be adjusted — extra nights, additional cities, different room configurations, special occasions, and private departures all on request. Bespoke journeys are built from a blank page around your dates and interests.
What kind of accommodations do you use?
Owner-run riads, kasbahs, and small luxury hotels chosen for their character and consistency. Properties we have worked with for years — never warehoused chain hotels. The actual property names appear in your itinerary in writing before you confirm.
Are meals included in the package?
All breakfasts, most lunches and dinners. Some lunches and dinners are deliberately left free so you can eat where the day takes you. Dietary requirements — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal — accommodated at every property when notified at booking.
Can you arrange special experiences?
Yes — private cooking lessons, hammam visits, riad rentals for anniversaries and birthdays, private musical performances, calligraphy workshops, and access to the Fès Festival of Sufi Culture. Tell us what you are celebrating and we will arrange.
Is transportation included?
Yes — private vehicle and driver for all road sections, airport transfers in and out, and any internal flights or trains noted in the itinerary. International flights are not included; we can recommend agents in the UK, EU, and US.
