The Summary
What you're agreeing to
Booking with Sarah Discoveries is a contract between you and Sarah Discoveries Ltd. We tell you exactly what's included, when payment is due, and how cancellations work. Group sizes are capped at twelve. We don't oversell, we don't substitute hotels at the last minute, and we don't change itineraries without consulting you. In return, we ask that final balances are paid on time and that you tell us promptly about any changes to your travel plans.
Booking
How it works
Step 1 — Enquiry
No commitment
Use the planning form or write to us directly. We reply within twenty-four hours during weekdays. The enquiry is non-binding on both sides.
Step 2 — Proposal
A written itinerary
We send you a detailed day-by-day plan, named hotels, named guides, and a final price in pounds sterling. The proposal is valid for fourteen days.
Step 3 — Deposit
25% to confirm
A twenty-five per cent deposit secures your dates. The balance falls due eight weeks before departure. Bank transfer in GBP or EUR; we don't accept card payments.
Cancellations
By you
More than 8 weeks
Deposit only
If you cancel more than eight weeks before departure, you lose the deposit but nothing further.
4–8 weeks
50% of trip cost
Cancellations between four and eight weeks before departure forfeit half the trip cost. We always try to recover what we can from suppliers and pass it back.
Less than 4 weeks
100% of trip cost
Cancellations within four weeks of departure forfeit the full trip cost. Your travel insurance should cover legitimate cancellation reasons.
Cancellations
By us
Force majeure & minimum numbers
A full refund or a free postponement
If we have to cancel — civil unrest, a pandemic, a fundamental change in conditions that makes the journey unsafe — you get a full refund or a free postponement, your choice. We do not require minimum numbers; our journeys run with two guests or with twelve. We will never substitute named hotels or named guides without telling you and getting your agreement.
Insurance
Required
Travel insurance is mandatory
You must have a policy that covers medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and curtailment. We will ask for the policy number and emergency contact before you travel. We will not run a journey for guests who arrive without cover; this is for your protection as much as ours.
Liability
What we cover
Limited to the trip cost
Our liability for any one booking is capped at the total trip cost paid. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control — strikes, weather, third-party negligence, or guests' own choices to undertake activities outside the itinerary. Hiking, riding, and desert travel involve inherent risks we cannot insure away. We brief you fully before you commit; what you decide to do remains your decision.
Law
Jurisdiction
English law, Moroccan delivery
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales. The journeys themselves are delivered in Morocco by Sarah Discoveries' Moroccan operating entity. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by correspondence will go to mediation through the Travel Industry Designator Service or, failing that, the courts of England and Wales.
