Itinerary Overview
Day 1
Arrive Marrakech
Met at Marrakech Menara (RAK) by the lead female guide. Transfer to a riad in the medina. Welcome dinner — the week's intent is briefed over the meal. The trip is built around women, hosted by women, designed for women travellers; the framing is named at the start.
Day 2
Marrakech medina with a female guide
Walking tour of the medina with a female Marrakech-based guide — Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the souks. Lunch at a riad. Afternoon at a women's argan oil cooperative outside town.
Day 3
Atlas foothills women's house
Drive south to a women-led guesthouse in the Aït Bouguemmaz Valley (about 6 hours via Azilal). The house is run by the host, her sisters and her daughters. Family dinner.
Day 4
Aït Bouguemmaz walk
Walking through the valley with a female regional guide and the household's daughters (about 4 hours). Walnut groves, the village school, the bread oven. Lunch with another household. Afternoon weaving session.
Day 5
Aït Bouguemmaz to Fès
Long travel day. Drive Aït Bouguemmaz → Beni Mellal (about 3 hours). ONCF train Beni Mellal → Fès (about 4 hours via Casa Voyageurs change). Late evening arrival in Fès. Light dinner.
Day 6
Fès medina with a female guide
Walking tour of the Fès medina with a female Fès-based guide. Lunch at a women-led riad. Afternoon at a Fès weaving cooperative.
Day 7
Fès — patisserie morning
Morning at a Fès patisserie family — pastilla layers, briouats, kaab el ghazal. Lunch in the home. Afternoon at a Sufi shrine outside the medina (some Sufi orders welcome female visitors with a female guide).
Day 8
Fès — free day
No fixed programme. Hammam, the medina, optional repeat visit to a workshop or cooperative. Final dinner.
Day 9
Until you leave Fès
A morning in your own hand — a last walk through the medina or a quiet breakfast at the riad. Transfer to Fès-Saïs airport (FEZ, about 20 minutes) for the international flight. Travellers connecting via Casablanca can be transferred to Mohammed V by request — the lead guide arranges.
